HOW DID SET IN STONE START?
Set in stone began back in 2012 originally started up as a small family run business with my partner. Years worth of experience in the Granite and Worktop industry came in handy as i could channel my passion and background knowledge into starting up the business. Therefore I decided to take the plunge and start up ‘Set in Stone’ and 9 years later we’re still growing strong! Over the years between juggling work life and growing our family, we have built the business slowly but pride ourselves in being well known locally in and around Buxworth - Manchester. Over the years we have built a strong client base through recommendations and word and mouth. Going into our 9th year we now have contracts with many developers and have built a good relationship with multiple kitchen suppliers and companies. We’re in our prime and enjoying seeing the growth of the company going from strength to strength.
WHERE ARE WE BASED?
Initially we started off by renting a small unit, and slowly began to build our brand and our business. To begin with we were equipped with basic tooling, but over the years as the business began to grow we invested in high end machinery and equipment allowing us to offer a wide variety of services, this is where manufacture of our worktops took place in our own factory.

I have worked in other places in the past and I wanted to make sure we were different from the rest and stand out from the crowd. Each customer can rest assured and know that we will adapt to their individual needs giving the as much specialist knowledge to support their order. We offer free gifts with all worktops and warranties on materials.
Set in Stone began with myself and my partner working together to start up the business, but over the years we have expanded due to the development of the company. Currently, we have 10 members working as part of the team, but we're constantly expanding and looking to grow further. We have a showroom based in Buxworth where customers can come and view materials if required. Members of our team work closely with the customer in the early quoting stage, helping them in the initial process of choosing their exact design (preferred materials and colours).
